There is no limit to the number of teams an institution can sponsor.
In principle, there is no limit to the number of teams an advisor can sponsor. However, the Team ID (advisor ID plus two digits) allows for a maximum of 99 teams. If the number exceeds this limit, you must use another commonly used email to register a new advisor account to sponsor additional teams. Please ensure that your personal information is consistent across both accounts.
Yes, students with an associate's degree are eligible to participate in EuroMCM. However, they must be enrolled in a degree programme at the time of the contest.
The registration fee is €80 per team.
No, the registration fee can only be paid through the Stripe checkout link provided in the Advisor Portal when registering the team.

The deadline for filling in team information (Team Category & Members) is 17:00 CET on Tuesday, 24 March 2026 (48 hours before the contest starts). However, we strongly recommend completing this as soon as possible after registering the team.
The problems will be published at 17:00 CET on Thursday, 26 March 2026 on the Problems and Results page.

Regarding the summary sheet for the EuroMCM, its importance cannot be overstated. A poorly constructed summary significantly diminishes the likelihood of the judges engaging with the remainder of the submission.r

The role of Advisor for a EuroMCM team may be fulfilled by any faculty member, staff member, or student affiliated with the team's institution. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for the team. It is not a prerequisite for the advisor to be associated with the mathematics department. While faculty involvement is encouraged, a team member or another student at the institution is also eligible to serve as the advisor.
The distinctions between the various designations awarded in the EuroMCM are comprehensively outlined in the Result Levels Information section of the Awards and Designations page.
Requests for the re-evaluation of contest submissions in the EuroMCM are not accommodated. Each paper undergoes a rigorous and comprehensive judging process, and EuroMCM upholds the designation assigned to each submission. However, it is recommended that participants review the outstanding papers and the judges' commentary, which will be accessible on the website following the announcement of the results.
The formation of teams comprising students from multiple institutions is permissible. Indeed, the establishment of cross-institutional teams is encouraged to foster diverse problem-solving perspectives.
Yes, secondary school students are welcome to participate in EuroMCM. Choose the Secondary School Category when registering your team.
Yes, graduate students are eligible to participate in EuroMCM. Choose the Postgraduate Category when registering your team.
The summary of your paper must be concise and confined to the first page of the electronic submission. To adhere to this, it's advisable to carefully condense your summary to highlight only the most critical points, ensuring it remains within the specified limit.
Please ensure that an electronic version of the summary sheet is included with your electronic submission. The summary page should constitute the first page of your submitted electronic document.
Yes, teams can choose any of the problems α, β, γ, δ, Ω, θ, or λ for EuroMCM.

No, you do not need to be a math major to compete in EuroMCM. The contest is open to all students who are interested in mathematics and problem-solving.
The submission and all associated publication rights become the property of the EuroMCM Committee. The EuroMCM Committee may use, edit, excerpt, and publish the submission for promotional or academic purposes, without further notification, permission, or compensation. Teams may request permission to publish their EuroMCM solutions by emailing info@euromcm.org, and in most cases, the EuroMCM Committee will allow it provided the contest is referenced.
